Staying in Filton
Rockleaze is on Gloucester Road North in Filton, well placed for the major employers, hospitals, university campuses and transport links of the Bristol area.
Airbus, BAE Systems, MBDA, GKN and MOD Abbey Wood are all nearby, making Rockleaze a convenient base for work trips. MBDA and GKN Aerospace both have sites at Golf Course Lane in Filton. MOD Abbey Wood is close by, next to Filton Abbey Wood station, and UWE Bristol’s Frenchay campus is also nearby.
Southmead Hospital is within easy reach for appointments and visits.
Aerospace Bristol, on the former Filton Airfield, is nearby. The museum’s centrepiece is Concorde — visitors can step aboard Alpha Foxtrot, the last Concorde built and the last to fly. The growing Brabazon development is on the same former airfield, and will include the forthcoming Aviva Arena.
Filton Abbey Wood and Bristol Parkway provide rail connections, while local buses offer routes into central Bristol and, via the Airport Flyer, to Bristol Airport. Shops, cafés, pubs and places to eat can be found close to the guesthouse.

Bristol is easy to explore from Rockleaze. The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is a short drive away, while the harbourside, SS Great Britain, M Shed and other city attractions can be reached by public transport or car.
Further afield, Bath, South Gloucestershire and South Wales are accessible for day trips.
